Oral B Pro 2500 Electric Toothbrush Review

So this month my ever faithful Oral B toothbrush broke. 

I had had this toothbrush for three years and it has served me well so I was sad to say goodbye.
I went back to a manual toothbrush for a couple of days but my teeth didn't feel as clean as when I used an electric so I had to get a new one! 

I really wanted to stick to Oral B as a brand as I  always think if you have a good experience with one product then you should stick to what you know! 

I bought the 2500 Electric toothbrush from Amazon, luckily it was available via prime so it arrived quickly, it was on offer too so I feel I got a really good deal at £30 reduced from £80.

The first thing I noticed with this brush is that the head is circular whereas my old one was rectangular, but this wasn't an issue, in fact, I think my teeth feel cleaner because of the shape.

The toothbrush has two modes- daily clean and gum care.
I only really use the daily clean function as I haven't really found a necessity for massaging my gums.

Unlike my old toothbrush, this one has a 2-minute timer and also tells me with a little buzz when I need to clean a different part of my teeth which I found really helpful.

The pressure sensor function of this toothbrush is my absolute favourite thing about the 2500. 

I suffer from very sensitive gums so need to be careful when brushing to avoid bleeding.If I am going at it a bit too hard then a red light flashes on the toothbrush to warn me and the pulsating function slows down.


The head that was supplied with the toothbrush is great and its good to know that there are other heads that are compatible with this toothbrush, however, i didn't buy any additional head as I should get three months from this one.

The charge of this toothbrush is pretty good, at full charge, it normally lasts me about a week. My old toothbrush did stay charged for longer but this flaw isn't really a deal breaker for me and doesn't outweigh the benefits.

Another excellent feature of this toothbrush is that it comes with a travel case. 
This is so handy. Last year I bought my sister an electric toothbrush for Christmas and wanted a travel case as she travels for work. I remember that I found it difficult to find a toothbrush in my price range that had a travel case and paid a bit more than I wanted to. 


So to summarise, I love this toothbrush. I love it so much that I will be buying one for my son's girlfriend for Christmas.
