My first pick for children is this fab Play-doh Advent Calendar.
When my daughter was small she absolutely loved Play-doh and would have loved this. It has 3 tubs of normal play dough, 2 glitter doughs and fab cutters.
I think this is a fab alternative to chocolate and gives the kids the chance to make some lovely creations without the heavy price tag of Lego or Playmobil calendars.The recommended age for this calendar is ages 3 and up.

Swizzels Cottage 3D Childrens Kids Christmas Xmas Sweets Deluxe Advent Calendar
My second pick that I absolutely love is The Swizzels cottage 3D Calendar. This is a 3D calendar with little drawers with sweets such as Squashies, Refreshers, Love Hearts, Fizzers, and Parma Violets.
This calendar is so lovely and Christmassy with the bright colours and the best thing is it is reusable so handy for years to come.
My third and final pick for children is the Crayola Advent Calendar.
I love this advent calendar as I think it's a great way to keep the kids occupied over December. It has lots of crafts, homemade gifts, finger puppets and Colouring.

Tanya Burr 12 Sweet Days Beauty Calendar I bought this calendar for my daughter last year and I'm recommending it because the products are really good quality. My first pick for teen boys is this kit which allows the user to build their own FM radio with daily tasks and experiments
there is no complicated work involved as the parts all fit together, this is suitable for ages 8 and up but I think would probably be more suited to an older boy

Haribo Advent Calendar
I bought this for my 19-year-old son last year as his Christmas advent and he loved it.
It has a small bag of Haribo for the 24 days and if your teen is anything like mine it doesn't really matter if they forget for a few days as they are individually sealed.

I love this Advent calendar because it'so unusual.

Gourmet Marshmallow Advent Calendar
I picked this advent as a favourite because mallows can really hit the sweet spot if you don't want chocolate. this calendar has mallows with alternating flavours which include: S’mores, Candy Cane, Humbug, Gingerbread, Mint Choc Chip & Choc Orange. Each mallow is 3cm x 3cm and has a Shelf Life of 5-6 months, although I seriously doubt they would be around that long!
